Stand a chance to win One (1) of Ten (10) R500 Mr D grocery coupons to help you get you and/or your child ready for school (“Coupon Prize(s)” which is not transferable nor refundable, and may not be otherwise exchanged for cash), by participating in the Back To School competition as described further below and subject at all times to the further terms and conditions of this promotional competition (collectively "Competition")
Promoter: This competition is promoted by Mr Delivery (Pty) Ltd (reg. no. 1992/004664/07) (“Mr D”, “us”, “we” or “our”).
Competition Period: This competition runs from 14h00 on 28 June 2024 to 7 July 2024 at 17h00 (each a “Competition Day” and collectively the “Competition Period”). No entries will be accepted after the end of the Competition Period.
Who can enter: You are entitled to participate in this competition if: (i) you are a natural person who is at least 18 years old and who resides in South Africa; and (ii) it is lawful for you to be awarded the particular Coupon Prize (“Qualifying Participant”, “you”, “your”). You may NOT participate if you are a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition, or if you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent of, or consultant to Mr D or any other entity which directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Mr D, or if you are any of the aforementioned persons’ spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister or business partner.
How to enter:
This Competition is run collectively on the mrdfood.com website and related Mr D App, as well as on the Mr D Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) social media accounts. You will need to have a valid Mr D account to participate. You will need to have a valid Mr D account PLUS a valid Facebook and X account AND be a follower of Mr D’s official Facebook/X page (“Qualifying Social Media Page(s)”) to enter and participate. To enter and participate, you must:
On a particular Competition Day, visit the Qualifying Social Media Page and look for the post related to the ‘Mr D Back-to-School Competition’; AND
Download the outline of Mr D’s official mascot ‘Paul’, print it out on paper, colour it in with your/a child showing us your version of Paul’s re-designed Mr D superhero jacket “Superhero Jacket”; AND
Take a picture of the last grocery item you purchased on the Mr D App (“Grocery Item”); AND
Comment on/reply to the relevant Qualifying Social Media Page post with a picture(s) of your Superhero Jacket and Grocery Item, AND INCLUDING the competition hashtag #MrDBackToSchool.
Each successful qualifying entry received following the above mentioned steps on the Qualifying Social Media Page (“Qualifying Entry(ies)”) will, subject to section 6, be automatically entered into the corresponding draw for a chance to win a Coupon Prize as described in section 8.
Note that should you at any stage act in contravention of or otherwise not comply with section 3, section 5, or any other term or condition herein, your entry will be withdrawn from this Competition.
Content of your entry: Your entry may not: (i) contain any foul language, obscenities, defamation, hate speech or any otherwise inappropriate content in our sole discretion; nor (ii) contain any content which may be harmful to Mr D or its associated companies in any way; nor (iii) infringe the intellectual property or other rights of Mr D, its associated companies or any third party. We reserve the right to remove entries which we deem to be in contravention of this section 5.
How many times you can enter: Each Qualifying Participant is limited to one Qualifying Entry per Qualifying Social Media Page. Each such successful Qualifying Entry received per Qualifying Social Media Page, will give that Qualifying Participant one entry into the corresponding draw for a chance to win a Prize Hamper as described in section 8.
Entry fees: There are no entry fees to participate in this competition, and no additional charges involved in acting as set out in section 4 above.
Winners and Prizes:
We will randomly select 10 (ten) winners across the Qualifying Social Media Pages in accordance with subsection 8.2 (i.e. ten winners collectively from both Qualifying Social Media Pages. Each particular winner will receive their corresponding Coupon Prize. Each Coupon Prize is valid from 15h00 on 8 July 2024 to 23h59 on 8 August 2024 and can be redeemed at checkout against grocery purchases on the Mr D App.
The corresponding winner will be chosen from the successful Qualifying Entries received (i.e. as described in section 4), by way of random draw at or before 12h00 on 8 July 2024. Each winner and their corresponding Coupon Prize will be announced via a direct message to their applicable Facebook, or X account on 8 July 2024.
We will then send another direct message to request and validate their participant information (including name, surname, email address, ID number, delivery address, telephone number, etc.) (collectively “Participant Information”); we will make two direct attempts to obtain such information within a 24-hour period. Once we have received the Participant Information and validated the particular winner, we will allocate/deliver or otherwise arrange delivery of their corresponding Coupon Prize to them as soon as possible thereafter, subject to section 9. Proof of identity and a completed Competition release/indemnity form will be required in order to validate the particular winner. We will select winners who have taken the steps set out in section 4 and who are in compliance with these terms and conditions by way of random draw, at our sole discretion. Regarding the application of these terms and conditions and the selection of winners and their corresponding prize(s) in full compliance with these terms and conditions, our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into other than with the particular winner(s).
Disqualification of winner: There are certain situations in which a winner will be disqualified from receipt of their corresponding Prize Hamper, namely and to the extent applicable as determined in our sole discretion:
they fail to provide us with their Participant Information within 24 hours of it being requested by us for the second time;
they refuse to or cannot provide reasonably sufficient documentation to verify their identity, or they refuse to or cannot provide us with a completed Competition release/indemnity form, or we’re otherwise unable to validate their Mr D account;
they are found to have contravened any other term or condition set out herein.
In the event of disqualification of a particular winner, we will be entitled in our sole discretion to select another winner from amongst the Competition participants, or to not award that particular prize at all.
Use of participant and winner information: By participating in this competition, you consent to the use by Mr D or a third party nominated by Mr D of your Participant Information, so that your name and surname can be announced as the winner and the Prizes can be delivered to you, and Mr D can affect its obligations in terms of this Competition. The particular winner may also be asked to permit the use of their image in marketing material, to participate in marketing activities, to permit Mr D the use of the image uploaded in marketing material, and/or be present when the relevant draw is taking place or they are announced as the winner. By entering this competition, you consent that Mr D can use your details, the contents of the competition submission / your winning qualifying entry for marketing purposes.
Unforeseen events: In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control, we reserve the right to cancel this competition (before entries are received), to change the number or nature of the Coupon Prize at any time (on notice to you), or to change the rules at our discretion (provided that we will not change the conditions for participation or conditions for being awarded the particular prize, as stated herein).
Rules: By participating in this competition, you agree to all the competition rules set out above and the Mr D Terms and Conditions relating to Coupons (if applicable, and accessible at https://www.mrdfood.com/terms), without exception.
