Terms and Conditions Governing Participation in the Coca-Cola & Mr D Soccer Competition 


PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROMOTIONAL COMPETITION IS CO-PROMOTED BY COCA-COLA  AFRICA (PTY) LTD (“Coca-Cola Africa”) AND MR DELIVERY (PTY) LTD (“Mr D”). MR D WILL BE  RESPONSIBLE FOR RUNNING THE AUDITED DRAW, SELECTING WINNERS FOR THE PRIZE(S)  DETAILED BELOW AND DELIVERING THE PRIZES ACCORDINGLY. MR D WILL ALSO BE  RESPONSIBLE FOR COMMUNICATING WITH THE SELECTED WINNERS PRIOR TO DELIVERY OF  PRIZES AND OBTAINING EACH PARTICULAR WINNER’S CONSENT FOR PURPOSES OF  DELIVERY OF HIS/HER CORRESPONDING PRIZE ACCORDINGLY. 


The following terms and conditions apply exclusively to the aforementioned Competition: 

1. Co-promoters 

This Promotional Competition (“Competition”) is co-promoted by Coca-Cola Africa and Mr D  (collectively the “Promoters”). Terms and Conditions Governing Participation in the Coca-Cola & Mr D Soccer Competition 

2. Competition Period 

The Competition shall commence at 08h00 on 23 November 2022 and ends at 22h00 on 5 December 2022 (the “Competition Period ”). Entries received after the Competition Period will not be  considered.  

3. Who Can Enter 

3.1. The Competition is open to: (i) natural persons who are at least 18 years or older residing in  South Africa and who are in possession of a valid form of identification (South African Identity  Document or Passport); (ii) who have a valid Mr D account; and (iii) it being lawful for such  persons to be awarded the particular prize. Persons ARE NOT ALLOWED to participate in this  Competition if they are a minor, employee, directors, member, partner, agent or consultant of  the Promoters, or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by either  Promoter and/or immediate family members of any of the above persons, its advertising  agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to Mr  D, its affiliates and/or associated companies or any persons who have won a prize in a  competition run by Mr D in the past 6 (six) months.  

3.2. By entering the Competition, all participants and the winners agree to be bound by these terms  and conditions. The Promoters reserve the right at any time, without notice, to amend, modify,  or change these rules and any prizes, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and  any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which is beyond  the Promoters’ reasonable control. 

3.3. The Competition is only valid within South Africa. Participants must be within South Africa  at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and at the time the prizes  are awarded should they be declared a winner, failing which such person will be disqualified  and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place under the same terms and conditions as  the first draw.  

4. The Prizes 

4.1. The participants stand a chance to win the following:


4.1.1.Weekly Winners: 1 of 10 Coca-Cola and Mr D hampers which will include the following: 1  x R500 (Five hundred rand) Mr D coupon, 1 x Team Soccer jersey valued at R1200 (one  thousand two hundred rand), 1 x FIFA World Cup 22 Adidas Soccer ball valued at R500  (Five hundred rand), 1 x Coca-Cola branded foosball cooler to the value of R1200 (one  thousand two hundred rand) and 1 x Coca-Cola branded soccer T-shirt to the value of  R300 (three hundred rand) ("Weekly Prize"); OR  

4.1.2.Grand Prize: 1 x Samsung 55" Smart TV valued at R10,000 (ten thousand Rands) and 1  x 12-month DSTV Premium Subscription valued at R5,628 (five thousand, six hundred and  twenty-eight Rands) ("Grand Prize”). 

4.2. The Mr D coupon which is mentioned in paragraph 4.1.1 above must be used to purchase food  on the Mr D App and is limited to 2 usages of not more than R250, per order. The coupon code  must be supplied at checkout in order to be valid when placing a food order on the Mr D App.  The coupon may not be shared with another person or account and is valid until 31 December  2022.  

4.3. The prizes under this Competition are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or  any other item. 

5. How To Enter 

5.1. To enter the Competition customers must, during the competition period, log in to their Mr D  account via the Mr D App, AND place an order and purchase any Coca-Cola beverage with  their order to enter the Competition ("Qualifying Entry”).  

5.2. The customer can order multiple times but only stands a chance to win a Prize once. A winner  cannot win another Weekly Prize if they have already won another during the Competition  Period. Customers can enter multiple times to increase their chances of winning the Grand  Prize.  

5.3. Participants may enter the Competition subject to the following: 

a) All entries must be made by a natural person in accordance with the entry mechanic as indicated above. 

b) If any entry was made in a manner which provides the participant with an unfair advantage over  other entrants, such a participant will be disqualified from this Competition. 

c) Participants may enter this Competition as many times as they like provided they complete the  entry mechanics set out above each time. However, participants are only eligible to stand a  chance to win 1 (one) Prize.  

6. Winners 

6.1. All entries will be reviewed weekly by a panel of judges who will short-list the Qualifying Entries.  Mr D will run an audited random draw on the Qualifying Entries to select the winners. The  Weekly Prize draw will take place within 1 (one) working day after the first week of the  Competition start date. The first draw of 5 (five) Weekly Prize winners will take place on 28  November 2022. The second set of 5 (five) Weekly Prize winners will randomly be selected on  5 December 2022. The Grand Prize winners draw will take place within 2 (two) working days  after the Competition Period (7 December 2022). 

6.2. The respective winners will be notified via email, to their registered Mr D account email address,  by Mr D within 48 (forty-eight) working hours after the conclusion of the respective draw. In  order for the particular Qualifying Entries to be confirmed as valid, the winner will be required to  provide their proof of identification, including their full name, contact number, e-mail address  and address (collectively “Participation Information”) to deliver the Prize. 

6.3. Once the winner has been verified and the winner has provided his/her consent for Mr D to  provide his/her Participation Information for delivery of the Prize, Mr D will then communicate  with the winner via email regarding when, where (i.e. within the Republic of South Africa) and 

how they will receive their Prize. The winner will receive their Prize within 14 (fourteen) working  days from being notified by Mr D as per paragraph 6.2 above. 

6.4. Once the winner has received the Prize, the Promoters will not take responsibility for any  malfunction or defect in the Prize. Ownership of and risk in and benefit attached to the Prize  will pass on to the winner immediately. 

6.5. A winner is obligated to behave responsibly and comply with these terms and conditions and all  reasonable requests of the Promoters and their agents.  

7. Disqualification Of Winner 

There are certain situations in which a potential winner or winner will immediately be disqualified  from this Competition and therefore not qualify to receive a Prize, namely: (i) he/she fails to provide  Participant Information when requested by Mr D Food for the second time within a 48 hour period  from date of first contact; or (ii) he/she is found to have contravened any other rule set out herein; or 

(iii) in anticipation of delivery of the prize, he/she refuses to accept delivery; or (iv) he or she cannot  provide reasonably sufficient documentation to verify his/her identity or fails the verification process  in whole or in part; or (v) he/ she does not consent to the sharing of their Participant Information with Mr D Food or their agents, to effect their obligations in terms of this Competition. In the  event of disqualification of a particular winner, Mr D Food will be entitled in its sole discretion to select  another winner from amongst the qualifying entries submitted. 

8. Use of participant and winner information 

8.1. All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoters, their advertising  agencies, advisers, nominated agents, partners, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified  by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or  associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or  from their participation in any way howsoever in this Competition (including, as a result of any  act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise  on the part of the Promoters and/or receipt of the prizes and/or use of the prizes).  

8.2. The Promoters may require the winners to be identified, photographed and published in printed  media, or to appear on radio and television or social media or other platforms, when accepting  their prizes or after having received their prizes, but each winner will be entitled to decline to do  so. 

8.3. By entering the Competition, the participants agree that their personal information may be  shared between the Promoters, and third-party service providers engaged by the Promoters for  the execution of compliance with the Consumer Protection Act requirements and to effect the  delivery of the Prize. Such personal information will be used only to the extent that it is  necessary for administering this Competition and in accordance with the provisions of the  Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPI Act”) and Mr D Food’s privacy policy  found at [ https://www.mrdfood.com/privacy-policy]. 

8.4. The Promoters may require a winner to complete and submit an information disclosure  agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these terms  and conditions as well as the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse  or be unable to comply with this clause for any reason, such a winner will be deemed to have  rejected the prize and Mr D Food will be entitled in its sole discretion to select another winner  from amongst the Qualifying Entries submitted. 

8.5. By posting any content, experiences, images on any social media platform, in relation to this  Competition and its associated promotional activities, participants consent and give the  Promoters a world-wide, royalty free and non-exclusive license, to reproduce, modify, adapt  and publish any content posted and/or submitted by a participant on a social media platform,  for the purposes of promoting the products and services of the Promoters. 

9. Unforeseen events


In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond the Promoters’ reasonable control, the  Promoters reserve the right to cancel this Competition, to change the number or nature of the prize  at any time, or to change the rules at the Promoters’ discretion.
