Mr D and BP Competition Terms and Conditions

Stand a chance to win one of ten R400 Mr D coupons allocated for the week (i.e. each redeemable only once and is not transferable nor refundable, and may not be exchanged for cash nor for any other item) (each a “Weekly Prize” and collectively the “Weekly Prizes”), as described further below and subject at all times to the further terms and conditions of this ‘Mr D x BP’ promotional competition (collectively “Competition”).

• Promoters: This Competition is promoted by Mr Delivery (Pty) Ltd trading as Mr D (reg. no. 1992/004664/07) (“Mr D”, “us”, “we” or “our”) and British Petroleum (Pty) Ltd (reg. no. 1924/002602/07) (“BP”).

• Competition Period: This Competition runs from 08h00 on 28 July 2025 until 23:59 on 29 September 2025 (each consecutive Monday-to-Sunday period therein a “Competition Week” and collectively the “Competition Period”). No entries will be accepted after the end of the Competition Period.

• Who can enter/participate: You are entitled to enter and participate in this Competition ONLY IF:

• you are a natural person who is at least 18 years old and resides in South Africa, and who has an active Mr D account that is fully compliant with the terms and conditions at https://www.mrd.com/about/terms (collectively “Qualifying Customer”, “you”, “your”); and

• it is otherwise lawful for you to be awarded the corresponding Weekly Prize.

You may NOT enter and participate if you do not meet the aforesaid criteria in full nor if you are a supplier of goods or services in connection with this Competition, nor if you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent of, or consultant to Mr D or BP, or any other entity which directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by either Mr D or BP, nor if you are any of the aforementioned persons’ spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister or business partner.

• How to enter/participate: 

• This Competition is run collectively on the Mr D smartphone applications (including the Android and iOS smartphone applications) (“Mr D App”) and Mr D’s website accessible at www.mrd.com. You will need to have a valid Mr D account to enter and participate.

• Then to enter and participate you must, during a particular Competition Week:

• successfully purchase at least one item from the BP store on the Mr D App or website, to the value of R200 (two hundred rand) or more; AND

• follow any of the Mr D and BP Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or X social media accounts.

• Each successful entry following all of the aforesaid steps (collectively “Qualifying Entry(ies)”) will be automatically entered into the corresponding draw for that Competition Week for a chance to win either one of the ten corresponding Weekly Prizes. Note that should you at any stage act in contravention of or otherwise not comply with section 3, section 1 or any other term or condition herein, your entry will be withdrawn from this Competition.

• Content of your participation/entry: Your entry may not:

• contain any foul language, obscenities, defamation, hate speech or any other content we deem inappropriate in our sole discretion; nor

• contain any content which may be harmful to Mr D or its associated companies in any way; nor

• infringe the intellectual property or other rights of Mr D, its associated companies or any third party.

We reserve the right to remove entries which we deem to be in contravention of this section 1 howsoever and whatsoever, in our sole discretion.

• How many times you can enter/participate: You may enter this Competition as many times as you wish during the Competition Period. Each corresponding Qualifying Entry received will give that Qualifying Customer one entry into the corresponding draw in accordance with section 9. Please note that each additional Qualifying Entry must be different from each previous Qualifying Entry.

• Entry fees: There are no entry fees to enter and participate in this Competition, and no additional charges involved in acting as set out in section 4.

• Prizes: For each Competition Week:

• we will randomly select one winner of the corresponding ten Weekly Prizes (i.e. ten different winners in total) from the Qualifying Entries received, and otherwise in accordance with section 9 (“Weekly Prize Winner(s)”).

• Each Weekly Prize Winner will receive one of ten Mr D coupons to the value of R400 (four hundred rand) (each a “Weekly Prize”). Each Weekly Prize is valid from 00h01 the day it is awarded until 23h59 six months later, i.e. each Weekly Prize is valid for six months, and can be redeemed at checkout against any shops purchase on the Mr D App.

• Winners: For each Competition Week:

• The ten Weekly Prize Winners will be chosen from the Qualifying Entries received by way of random draw, on the next Monday after that same Competition Week.

• Each such winner and their corresponding Weekly Prize will be announced by way of direct message via their email address used to register their Mr D account, either on the same day as the relevant draw or the first business day thereafter. We will then send another direct message to request and validate their participant information (including name, surname, email address, ID number, delivery address, bank letter, telephone number, etc.) (collectively “Winner Information”); we will make two direct attempts to obtain such Winner Information. Once we have received the Winner Information and validated the particular winner (i.e. to the extent applicable as determined in our sole discretion), we will allocate/deliver or otherwise arrange delivery of their corresponding Weekly Prize to them as soon as possible thereafter, subject to section 10. Proof of identity and a completed Competition release/indemnity form will be required in order to validate the particular winner. 

• We will select winners who have taken the steps set out in section 4 and who are in compliance with these terms and conditions by way of random draw or as otherwise stipulated herein, and at our sole discretion. 

• Regarding the application of these terms and conditions and the selection of a winner(s) and their corresponding prize(s) (i.e. in full compliance with these terms and conditions), our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into other than with the particular winner(s).

• Disqualification of winner: There are certain situations in which a winner will be disqualified from receipt and usage of their corresponding prize(s), namely and to the extent applicable as determined in our sole discretion:

• they fail to provide us with their Winner Information within 24 hours of it being requested by us;

• they refuse to or cannot provide reasonably sufficient documentation to verify their identity, or they refuse to or cannot provide us with a completed Competition release/indemnity form, or we’re otherwise unable to verify their Mr D account; or

• they are found to have contravened any other term or condition set out herein, or found to have engaged in behavior that may bring Mr D into disrepute.

In the event of disqualification of a particular winner, we will be entitled in our sole discretion to select another winner from amongst the Competition participants, or to not award that particular prize(s) at all.

• Use of Winner Information: By participating in this Competition, you consent to the use by Mr D or a third party nominated by Mr D of:

• the contents of the Competition submission / your winning Qualifying Entry for marketing purposes generally, with credit given to the entrant where applicable; and

• your Winner Information so that you can be announced as a winner and the corresponding prize(s) can be allocated/delivered to you, and Mr D can give effect to its obligations in terms of this Competition.

The particular winner may also be asked to permit the use generally of their image in marketing material, to participate in marketing activities, to permit Mr D the use of the image uploaded in marketing material, and/or be present when the relevant draw is taking place or they are announced as a winner, but they will be entitled to decline to do so.

• Unforeseen events: In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control, we reserve the right to cancel this Competition (before entries are received), to change the number or nature of the prize at any time (on notice to you), or to change the terms and conditions of this Competition at our sole discretion (provided that, unless required due to such aforesaid unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control, we will not change the conditions for participation or conditions for being awarded the particular prize, as stated herein).

• Terms and conditions: By participating in this Competition, you agree to all the Competition terms and conditions set out above and the Mr D Privacy Policy (accessible at https://www.mrd.com/about/terms), as well as the Mr D Terms and Conditions relating to Vouchers and Coupons (as applicable and also accessible at https://www.mrd.com/about/terms), without exception.
