Sourced from various vineyard blocks, aged between 12 and 15 years of age. The soils are predominantly clay-rich Hutton, originating from decomposed granite. The palate expresses a fine balance between fruit clarity and tannin weight. The wine will lend itself to bold, rich meals such as Lamb, T-bone, game meats and mushroom risotto with garlic truffle. Hints of blueberry, redcurrant, and a graphite nuance. A real classic expression of Simonsberg Cabernet.
