Switch between forward and reverse gear with the switch on the top.  A magnetic joint on the rear of the engine to attach other carriages to pull along.  Great for encouraging imagination, role play and developing fine motor skills as well as focus  The base is made of zinc alloy, contributing to its stability.  A protective, clutching gear linkage protects the engine if kids try to push it along the floor.
